Role Summary
We are seeking an experienced AWS Cloud & EKS Anywhere Platform Engineer to design, deploy, and operate cloud-native infrastructure across AWS and on-prem bare-metal environments. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with AWS Cloud, Amazon EKS, EKS Anywhere, Kubernetes platform operations, and Linux-based infrastructure, with a focus on reliability, security, and automation.
Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and manage Amazon EKS and EKS Anywhere clusters on AWS and bare-metal infrastructure.
- Build and maintain Kubernetes platform components including networking, storage, ingress, and observability.
- Automate cluster provisioning, configuration, and lifecycle management using Terraform, Ansible, and scripting.
- Manage AWS infrastructure including VPC, EC2, IAM, Load Balancers, and ECR.
- Implement CI/CD pipelines for application and infrastructure deployments (Optional).
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve issues across Kubernetes, Linux, and cloud infrastructure layers.
- Ensure platform security, compliance, and best practices for cloud and on-prem environments.
- Collaborate with application, networking, and security teams to support scalable and resilient platforms.
- Document architecture, operational procedures, and runbooks.
Prerequisites
- 5+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure or platform engineering roles.
- Strong hands-on experience with Amazon EKS and/or EKS Anywhere.
- Solid understanding of Kubernetes internals, cluster networking, storage, and security.
- Experience managing Linux-based systems (Ubuntu/RHEL) in production.
- Proficiency with AWS services such as EC2, VPC, IAM, ELB, Route 53, and ECR.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (Terraform, CloudFormation) (Optional).
- Strong automation and scripting skills using Python, Bash, or Ansible.
- Strong troubleshooting, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Experience in NOC / 24x7 support model (Preferred).
- Based on business needs, provide weekend support and visit the office when required.
- Basic understanding of networking, VLANs, and subnetting.
