Roles and Responsibilities

Contribute towards the evaluation and proof of concepts for new cloud storage products and technologies.

Design and build enterprise-class cloud storage solutions acrossAzureandGCP, ensuring scalability, security, and cost optimisation.

Develop and maintainDevOps CI/CD pipelinesfor storage deployments and automation.

Build automation forre-certification, upgrades, evergreen processes, and production support functions; integrate APIs between systems and validate interoperability.

Documentengineering standards, best practices, and SOPsfor production build and support teams to enable rapid global adoption.

Test, certify, and validate cloud storage products and services; ensure smooth handover to production build, deployment, and support teams with comprehensive documentation.

Manage risks and ensure adherence to organisationalsecurity policies and regulatory standards.

ImplementCloud Security Posture Management (CSPM)for storage services.

ProvideLevel 2/3 production supportfor storage environments; coordinate problem resolution across functional areas and act as SME for diagnosing and resolving complex issues.

Analyse storage system behaviour and baselines, resolve complexI/O problems, and recommend optimal storage layouts based on data usage and criticality.

Leadmigration projectsfrom on-premises to cloud storage platforms and implementbackup, disaster recovery, and archival strategiesaligned with compliance requirements.

Monitor and optimisestorage performance and capacity utilisation.

Manageincident resolution, root cause analysis, and preventive measures.

Maintaininventory of storage resourcesand ensure timely refresh/upgrades.

Provide technical support forstorage-related issues across environments.

Qualifications

University-level degree or equivalent experience inComputer Science or related fieldwith10+ years of experience, including8+ years in storage engineeringand3+ years in cloud storage.

Demonstrable expertise in cloud storage platforms:Azure Blob/Files,GCP Cloud Storage, andhybrid storage architectures (SAN/NAS).

Experience with enterprise storage technologies such as Dell EMC VNX, NetApp CVO..

Strong knowledge of automation tools and scripting:Terraform,Ansible,Python, andAPI integration.

Familiarity with security practices:IAM,encryption,key management,compliance frameworks, andCSPM for cloud storage.

Proven experience inlarge-scale migrations,BAU support, andperformance tuning for storage systems.

Exposure toAgile methodologiesand tools likeJIRA,Confluence.

Ability to work under pressure, collaborate across time zones, and maintain a positive, solution-oriented attitude.

Certifications (must)

Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert.

Google Professional Cloud Architect or Storage Engineer.
