Description
We are looking for a skilled Cloud Security Engineer to design, implement, and maintain secure cloud infrastructures. The ideal candidate will be responsible for protecting cloud-based systems, data, and applications from security threats while ensuring compliance with industry standards.
Cloud Security Engineers play a critical role in identifying vulnerabilities, enforcing security policies, and responding to incidents across cloud environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage secure cloud architectures (AWS, GCP)
- Conduct risk assessments, vulnerability testing, and security audits
- Implement and manage Identity & Access Management (IAM) and access controls
- Monitor cloud environments using SIEM/logging tools to detect threats
- Respond to security incidents and perform root cause analysis
- Ensure data protection through encryption (at rest and in transit)
- Develop and enforce cloud security policies, standards, and procedures
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to integrate security into CI/CD (DevSecOps)
- Maintain compliance with standards (ISO 27001, GDPR, SOC2, etc.)
- Automate security controls and processes where possible
- Stay updated on emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and security tools
Required Skills & Qualifications
Technical Skills :
- Strong experience with cloud platforms : AWS / Google Cloud
- Knowledge of network security (firewalls, VPNs, VPCs)
- Experience with SIEM tools, logging, and monitoring systems
- Proficiency in scripting (Python, Bash, PowerShell)
- Understanding of encryption, IAM, and security frameworks
- Familiarity with DevOps tools (Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines)
- Experience with vulnerability management and penetration testing
Soft Skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Good communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to work cross-functionally with engineering and IT teams
Experience Requirements
- 5 to 10 years in cybersecurity or cloud security roles
- Hands-on experience in securing cloud infrastructure
- Experience in multi-cloud environments preferred
Education & Certifications
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field
Preferred Certifications
- CISSP
- CCSP
- AWS Security Specialty
- Azure Security Engineer Associate
- Google Cloud Security Engineer
Good To Have
- Experience with Zero Trust architecture
- Knowledge of compliance frameworks (NIST, ISO, PCI-DSS)
- Exposure to Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation)
- Experience in security automation
