Job Title: Cloud Platform Engineer (AWS)
Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Cloud Platform Engineer with hands-on experience in Amazon Web Services (AWS) to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of cloud infrastructure and architecture, coupled with expertise in deploying, managing, and optimizing AWS services. As a Cloud Platform Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our cloud-based solutions to meet the evolving needs of our organization and clients.
Responsibilities:
- Design, deploy, and maintain highly scalable, secure, and reliable cloud infrastructure solutions on AWS.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, architect cloud-based solutions, and provide technical guidance and best practices.
- Implement automation and orchestration techniques to streamline provisioning, configuration, and management of cloud resources.
- Develop and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or AWS CDK.
- Monitor, optimize, and troubleshoot cloud infrastructure to ensure performance, availability, and cost efficiency.
- Implement security best practices and compliance standards across all cloud environments.
- Continuously evaluate emerging AWS services, features, and technologies to drive innovation and efficiency.
- Provide technical support and guidance to development teams throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Participate in on-call rotation and respond to incidents in a timely manner.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience as a Cloud Platform Engineer, with a strong focus on AWS.
- In-depth knowledge of AWS services such as EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, RDS, Lambda, ECS, and others.
- Proficiency in scripting and programming languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
- Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or AWS CDK.
- Strong understanding of networking concepts, security best practices, and compliance standards in cloud environments.
- Hands-on experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and serverless computing.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues in distributed systems.
- Effective communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer) are a plus.
