Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled AWS L2 Support Engineer with mandatory expertise in Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS) and Terraform. This role involves managing, supporting, and optimizing AWS cloud infrastructure, focusing on Kubernetes and Infrastructure as Code (IaC). The ideal candidate should have strong troubleshooting abilities, excellent coordination skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with internal teams, stakeholders, and clients.
Key Responsibilities
AWS Infrastructure Support
- Manage and troubleshoot AWS infrastructure, including EKS clusters and related resources.
- Support Terraform-based infrastructure, ensuring IaC scripts are optimized and error-free.
- Conduct root cause analysis and resolve L2-level issues within SLAs.
EKS Management
- Deploy, configure, and maintain EKS clusters, ensuring high availability and security.
- Troubleshoot EKS-related issues, including pod failures, networking, and scaling challenges.
- Optimize EKS cluster performance and resource utilization.
Terraform Support & Optimization
- Write, debug, and maintain Terraform scripts for AWS infrastructure.
- Ensure best practices for IaC, including version control and code reviews.
Incident & Change Management
- Respond to incidents, perform troubleshooting, and ensure timely resolutions.
- Coordinate and implement infrastructure changes with minimal downtime.
Coordination & Collaboration
- Act as a liaison between technical teams, project managers, and clients.
- Collaborate with DevOps, cloud architects, and application teams to ensure seamless operations.
- Participate in team meetings, provide regular updates, and drive task completion.
Monitoring & Reporting
- Monitor system performance using AWS CloudWatch, Prometheus, or other monitoring tools.
- Generate and present reports on infrastructure health, incidents, and resolutions.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Technical Skills
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS services, particularly EKS and Terraform.
- Expertise in Kubernetes troubleshooting, cluster management, and networking.
- Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform.
- Experience with monitoring tools such as AWS CloudWatch, Prometheus, or Grafana.
- Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and version control systems (Git, Jenkins, etc.).
- Strong Linux administration and networking knowledge.
Soft Skills
