We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated Cloud Infrastructure Support Engineer (Tier 3 / Tier 4) to join the Infrastructure Customer Engineering and Support team within the Red Hat Telco Cloud Organization.

In this role, you will serve as a critical technical SME, ensuring the performance, reliability, and availability of largescale cloud infrastructure platforms such as Kubernetes, Red Hat OpenShift, OpenStack, and Nokia Cloud solutions (NCS, CBIS).

In this role, you will

  • Manage, troubleshoot, and optimize containerized applications and cloud infrastructure across Kubernetes, Red Hat OpenShift, and OpenStack platforms.
  • Lead endtoend investigation and resolution of complex, highseverity customer incidents.
  • Perform detailed Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and implement longterm preventive solutions.
  • Develop, test, and maintain automation using Python, Bash, and Ansible to improve operational efficiency.
  • Provide oncall support as part of a global followthesun model.
  • Diagnose issues across multiple layersfrom highlevel Kubernetes errors to lowlevel OS/kernel problems.
  • Work with monitoring and logging systems (ELK stack, Prometheus, Grafana) to proactively detect and address issues.
  • Collaborate closely with crossfunctional teams, including developers and product engineers, especially for Tier 4 tasks.
  • Ensure all work adheres to customer SLAs and the Standard Network Touch Policy.

Your Profile

Core Technical Skills

  • Strong handson experience with Linux administration (CentOS, RHEL).
  • Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, load balancing, firewalls).
  • Proven expertise in Kubernetes, OpenShift, OpenStack, Docker/Podman, Helm, KVM/QEMU.
  • Strong scripting and automation skills using Python, Bash, and familiarity with Ansible.
  • Experience preparing and executing Root Cause Analysis.
  • Knowledge of EME (Escalation, Monitoring, and Emergency) management processes.

ProblemSolving & Operational Skills

  • Excellent troubleshooting skills with the ability to deepdive into multilayer cloud infrastructure issues.
  • Experience with monitoring/logging tools such as ELK, Prometheus, Grafana.
  • Analytical mindset with strong ability to reason about complex system behavior.

Additional (Nice-to-Have) Expertise

  • Knowledge of advanced networking tools: Calico, Multus, Open vSwitch.
  • Experience with cloudnative storage: CEPH, Rook.
  • Understanding of databases such as MySQL, MariaDB, ETCD.
  • Relevant certifications such as:
    • RHCSA, RHCE
    • CKA
    • EX210 (Cloud Infrastructure)
    • EX310 (OpenStack)
    • EX280 (OpenShift Admin)
    • EX380 (OpenShift Automation & API Management)
