Role Overview:
We manage mission-critical cloud infrastructure for our customers globally. This role entails providing 24x7 managed support for these cloud environments. In this role, you will be a part of the Cloud Operations Centre (COC) Team.
Responsibilities:
Your responsibilities in this role will be centered around the following:
- 24x7 Cloud monitoring and support.
- Make sure Service SLA is met with appropriate responses & resolutions.
- Documentation and maintaining customer technical build documentations.
- Own new upgrades for existing deployments and their documentation.
- Own new remote site deployments and their documentation.
- Deliver internal training as per schedule.
- Technical Account Manager for Key Customers.
- Work with the open-source community.
Requirements:
Needless to say, this role is a combination of proven technical aptitude, experience and the ability to think spontaneously. We'll be evaluating your candidature on the following criteria:
- Experienced Linux user and system administrator.
- Experience in deploying and administering KVM, ESXi and/or XenServer hypervisors
- Experience in deploying, supporting or managing clouds based on Apache Cloudstack (preferably) and/or OpenStack
- Experience in debugging and resolving production issues
- Experience in support participation, on-call schedules and using tools
- Good networking knowledge, including software defined networking
- Good understanding of storage protocols and technologies (CIFS and NFS, object storage s3 etc)
- Excellent spoken and written English
Bonus qualifications that will help your application:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, IT, or a related field.
- 3-10 years in similar roles in technical operations.
