Cloud Engineer

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain AWS IaC and CaC:
• Terraform / CloudFormation modules
• Fix scale and reliability issues
• Implement AWS automation for:
• Account and environment provisioning
• UOPs, IDR, and observability onboarding
• Execute AWS FinOps operations:
• Budget setup and monitoring
• Cost anomaly investigation
• Resource-level cost optimization (EC2, S3, RDS)
• Implement AWS data lifecycle automation:
• S3 lifecycle policies, cleanup jobs, retention rules
• Support AWS capacity planning:
• Usage analysis, rightsizing, auto-scaling support
• Create and maintain AWS automation flow diagrams and runbooks
• Troubleshoot AWS automation failures and cost spikes

Skills & Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with AWS core services (EC2, S3, IAM, VPC, CloudWatch)
• Strong experience with Terraform / CloudFormation / Ansible
• Scripting skills in Python, PowerShell, or Bash
• Practical exposure to AWS FinOps activities
• Understanding of AWS storage lifecycle management
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills

Experience

• 37 years in AWS Cloud / DevOps / Automation roles
• Strong individual contributor with automation-first mindset
• AWS certification preferred
