Job Title: FinOps Analyst / FinOps Engineer
Location: -Hyderabad /Bangalore
Department: Engineering / Cloud / Finance
Reports to: [Engineering Manager/ Director]
About the Role
Were looking for a FinOps professional to help drive cloud financial accountability across the organization. You'll work at the intersection of engineering, product, cloud Ops, devOps and business, ensuring our cloud spend is transparent, optimised, and aligned with business value.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyse, and optimise cloud spend across AWS, Azure, and/or GCP
- Build and maintain cost dashboards, forecasts, and budgets
- Partner with engineering teams to drive cost-efficient architectures
- Identify and implement savings opportunities (rightsizing, RI/SP, autoscaling, storage optimisation)
- Establish and improve FinOps best practices, policies, and governance
- Support chargeback/show back models for business units
- Investigate cost anomalies and usage spikes
- Collaborate with finance on forecasting, accruals, and month-end reporting
- Educate teams on cost awareness and cloud economics
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years experience in cloud cost management, FinOps, cloud engineering, or financial analysis
- Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS/Azure/GCP)
- Strong understanding of cloud pricing models and billing structures
- Experience with FinOps tools (e.g., CloudHealth, Apptio, Cloudability, AWS Cost Explorer, Azure Cost Management)
- Strong analytical skills and comfort working with large datasets
- Ability to communicate financial insights to technical and non-technical stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications
- FinOps Certified Practitioner or Professional
- Experience with Kubernetes cost management (Kubecost or similar)
- SQL, Python, or scripting experience
- Experience in SaaS or high-growth environments
- Familiarity with CI/CD and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansibel)
