Position Overview:

As a Cloud Engineer in the Wealth Management IT team, you will be a key member of the cloudmigration programme, working handinhand with engineering, infrastructure and development squads to:

• Automate provisioning, configuration & deployments using Ansible and Terraform.
• Containerise legacy applications and support their migration to Kubernetes on IBM Cloud.
• Mentor and train other operations staff on Ansible, Terraform and Kubernetes best practices.

Core Responsibilities:

Provisioning & Configuration

• Design & maintain IaC scripts (Terraform), build reusable Ansible playbooks, ensure consistent environments across dev / test / prod.

Deployment & CI/CD

• Integrate automation into pipelines (Jenkins, Concourse, etc.), support zerodowntime releases, verify DR procedures.

Knowledge Transfer

• Conduct workshops, create documentation, guide peers on containerisation & cloudnative tooling.

Required Skills, Experience & Skills

• 5 + years in IT Operations or Software Engineering.
• 2 + years handson with a public cloud (IBM, AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Strong Linux/CLI expertise; proficient in Python or Bash scripting.
• Deep experience with Ansible, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform.
• Solid grasp of CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Travis, Concourse, etc.).
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field.

• Red Hat Enterprise Linux Automation with Ansible (RH294)
• Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD)
• HashiCorp Certified: Terraform Associate (003)
• HashiCorp Certified: Vault Associate (002)
