Cloud Engineer - Azure

Job Summary

• As an Cloud Engineer for the Payment Platform Modernization Program, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining cloud-based solutions to enhance the performance, scalability, and reliability of our payment processing systems
• You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the seamless integration of cloud technologies into our existing infrastructure, driving innovation and efficiency in our payment platform

Key Responsibilities:

1. Cloud Architecture and Design:

• Design and implement secure, scalable, and highly available cloud infrastructure solutions for payment processing applications.
• Work closely with the architecture team to ensure alignment with best practices and organizational standards.

1. Platform Migration:

• Lead the migration of payment processing systems to cloud environments, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.
• Collaborate with development and operations teams to develop migration strategies and execution plans.

1. Automation and Orchestration:

• Develop and implement automation scripts and orchestration workflows to streamline deployment, scaling, and maintenance processes.
• Leverage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools to manage and version infrastructure configurations.

1. Security and Compliance:

• Implement security best practices for cloud environments, including identity and access management, encryption, and network security,with a strong focus on adhering to PCI-DSS standards.
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations and internal security policies.

1. Monitoring and Performance Optimization:

• Establish monitoring and alerting systems for payment processing applications on the cloud.
• Continuously optimize performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement improvements to enhance system reliability.

1. Collaboration and Communication:

• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, architects, and operations, to understand requirements and deliver effective solutions.
• Provide technical guidance and expertise to team members and stakeholders.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
2. Proven experience as a Cloud Engineer or similar role, with a focus on payment processing systems.
3. In-depth knowledge of Azure cloud platform
4. Strong understanding of containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
5. Proficient in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
6. Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
7. Solid understanding of security best practices and compliance requirements.
8. Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
9. Effective communication and collaboration skills.
10. Possess knowledge of PCI-DSS requirements and guidelines to apply them effectively in the cloud-based payment processing systems.
11. Relevant certifications ( Azure Solutions Architect) are a plus.
