Cloud Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Own and resolve infrastructure and platform issues at first level and escalate to L2 as appropriate
• Monitor observability dashboards and incident ques and respond to incidents as per the SLA agreed with customer
• Execute recurring runbook tasks and infrastructure changes using scripting (Python, Bash, Shell) and tools like Ansible and Terraform.
• Implement and optimize observability across services using Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Site 24*7 or equivalent tools.
• Continuously tune alerts to reduce false positives and improve signal-to-noise ratio for incident detection.
• Maintain and enhance CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code practices.
• Proactively identify performance bottlenecks, system anomalies, and optimize infrastructure for availability and latency.
• Collaborate with development teams to ensure SLOs, SLAs, and error budgets are met.
• Identify gaps in system resiliency and proactively fix through automation and architectural recommendations.

Skills/Expertise:

• Experience with AWS services, Terraform, and Ansible for infrastructure automation.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipeline management in AWS and Azure DevOps.
• Proficiency in observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch, and ELK.
• Experience in EKS cluster management, scaling, patching, and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of PCF (Pivotal Cloud Foundry) administration, patching, and certificate management.
• Expertise in monitoring tools, log analysis, and anomaly detection.
• Experience with scripting and automation using Bash, Python, or PowerShell.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and experience with incident response and RCA.
• Familiarity with DevSecOps principles and security compliance standards.
• Familiarity with Pivotal Cloud Foundry and other Kubernetes platforms
• Good understanding of various database technologies(Oracle, MS SQL, Reddis, AWS RDS
