Job Description

Job Title: Cloud & DevOps System Administrator

Location: Bangalore

Job Summary

The Infrastructure Specialist System Administration is responsible for ensuring seamless operations and availability of cloud-based solutions across applications, DevOps, middleware, security, and infrastructure layers. The role includes supporting development and production environments, implementing Infrastructure as Code (IaC), securing systems, troubleshooting issues across multiple technology domains, and providing round-the-clock support. Candidates must be skilled in handling hybrid environments hosted on Windows, Linux, and Unix servers.

Key Responsibilities

Cloud & Infrastructure Administration

  • Provide 24/7 technical support for cloud-based applications and infrastructure.
  • Build, set up, and maintain development tools, environments, networking, and cloud infrastructure.
  • Deploy and maintain cloud applications across Dev, Test, and Production environments.
  • Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Ansible and Terraform.
  • Manage Windows, Linux, and Unix servers with strong troubleshooting capabilities.

Load Balancing, Networking & Databases

  • Strong understanding of load balancing and CDN options across cloud providers (e.g., Azure Load Balancer, Application Gateway).
  • Install, configure, and administer MySQL, MSSQL, PostgreSQL, and other database systems.
  • Ensure network stability across environments and support cloud elasticity with auto-scaling.

Security & System Hardening

  • Ensure systems are secure against cybersecurity threats.
  • Install updates, patches, security fixes, and maintain compliance standards.
  • Support and maintain DR strategies and manual redundancy failover plans.

Monitoring, Logging & Observability

  • Install and maintain ELK Stack (Logstash, Elasticsearch, Kibana) for centralized log management.
  • Monitor application, container, and system logs to identify and troubleshoot issues.

Application & Middleware Support

  • Identify and resolve issues involving:
    • APIs
    • Microservices
    • Containers
    • Kubernetes nodes
    • Middleware components
    • IaaS, PaaS, SaaS services
  • Perform initial incident analysis; escalate to higher support levels when required.
DevOps & Automation

  • Work with DevOps teams to support CI/CD pipelines and cloud-native deployments.
  • Maintain and deploy automation scripts for operational efficiency.

Service Management

  • Manage Application IDs and provide resource auto-scaling based on business needs.
  • Generate and deliver regular service management reports to clients.
  • Ensure adherence to ITIL processes and integrated service level management practices.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Strong administration experience across Windows, Linux, and Unix servers.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
  • Proficiency in IaC tools (Ansible, Terraform).
  • Experience with ELK stack for logging and monitoring.
  • Solid understanding of networking, load balancing, and security.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across cloud, infrastructure, applications, and middleware.
  • Good understanding of DevOps toolchains and cloud-native deployments.
  • Familiar with ITIL processes, SLAs, and service management.
