Technology: Cloud Data Architect, Azure, AWS AWS Glue, S3, Redshift, and EMR, Data Factory, Data Lake, Synapse, and Databricks

Job Description:

Deep expertise in Azure and AWS data ecosystems to lead end-to-end solutioning covering data ingestion, transformation, governance, security, and analytics platform design

Solution Architecture & Delivery

Design, architect, and implement modern cloud-native data platforms on Azure and AWS tailored to client needs

Build data lakehouse solutions using Azure Synapse, Databricks, AWS Redshift, Glue, EMR, and Delta Lake

Lead the development of ETL/ELT pipelines with Azure Data Factory, Databricks, AWS Glue, and PySpark

Architect federated data access solutions using Trino, Athena, or Synapse Serverless for cross-platform querying

Implement best practices in data modeling, partitioning, cataloging, and metadata management

Oversee data governance, compliance, and security setup using Azure Purview, Lake Formation, IAM, RBAC, and encryption

Pre-Sales & Client Engagement:

Collaborate with the sales and business development teams during RFPs, RFIs, and client discovery calls

Create and deliver technical presentations, product demonstrations, and solution walkthroughs to prospective clients

Lead and build Proof of Concept (PoC) environments to demonstrate platform capabilities

Draft and contribute to technical proposals, solution blueprints, architecture diagrams, and effort estimations

Assess client requirements and translate them into scalable and cost-effective cloud architectures

Leadership & Collaboration:

Guide and mentor data engineers, architects, and developers on cloud data best practices

Collaborate with DevOps teams to enable CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, and monitoring

Stay up to date with emerging technologies in cloud data engineering, lakehouse patterns, and federated query engines

Desired Profile:

Expertise in Azure data services: Azure Data Factory, ADLS Gen2, Synapse, Databricks, Azure Functions

Expertise in AWS data services: S3, Glue, Redshift, Athena, EMR, Lambda, Lake Formation

Experience with Trino (PrestoSQL) for federated querying across multiple data sources

Strong programming skills in SQL, Python, PySpark, and experience with large-scale distributed data processing

Proficiency in data lakehouse architecture, medallion/layered models, and cost-efficient storage design

Familiarity with DevOps practices, including Git, Terraform/CloudFormation, CI/CD pipelines

Experience preparing client-ready technical proposals, diagrams, and TCO models

Strong knowledge of cloud cost optimization strategies and performance tuning techniques

Excellent communication and client presentation skills

Proven ability to influence stakeholders and lead solution discussions

Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving attitude

Ability to handle both strategic solutioning and hands-on implementation

Team player with mentoring and leadership capabilities

Qualification:

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field

Preferred Certifications:

Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate / Azure Solutions Architect Expert

AWS Certified: Data Analytics Specialty / Solutions Architect Associate or Professional

Databricks Certified Data Engineer or Architect

Trino/Presto certification (if applicable) is a plus
