Job Summary:We are seeking an experienced Cloud Architect to lead the design and implementation of a cloud‑native IoT and multi‑tenant SaaS platform. This role is responsible for transforming a legacy monolithic application into a scalable microservices architecture. The ideal candidate has deep hands‑on AWS experience, strong expertise in distributed systems, and the ability to mentor teams with limited cloud exposure. This is a critical role that drives architecture decisions, ensures platform scalability, and supports delivery from POC to production.

Key Responsibilities:

• Define end-to-end cloud architecture for IoT communication, microservices, and multi-tenant BOS systems.
  
• Design scalable, secure, fault‑tolerant systems supporting high device scale and real-time ingestion.
  
• Architect IoT → MQTT broker → microservices → database → BOS data flows.
  
• Define strategies for retries, buffering, offline handling, and reliable ingestion.
  
• Architect AWS infrastructure (compute, storage, networking, managed services).
  
• Align closely with DevOps on CI/CD, containerization, Kubernetes, and deployment processes.
  
• Implement high availability, disaster recovery, auto-scaling, logging, monitoring, and alerting.
  
• Define authentication, authorization, device security, and data encryption standards.
  
• Review designs, code, and architectural decisions for quality and adherence to best practices.
  
• Mentor engineering teams in cloud-native development and microservices design.
  
• Support POC delivery and lead migration from prototype to full production system.
  
• Identify risks early and recommend mitigation strategies.
  
  

Required Skills and Qualification

• 10–15 years in software development.
  
• 5+ years in cloud architecture (AWS preferred).
  
• Experience designing scalable, high‑availability SaaS platforms.
  
• Hands-on experience with AWS services: EC2, S3, RDS, SQS, SNS, Lambda.
  
• Strong background in microservices architecture and distributed systems.
  
• Deep understanding of MQTT protocol and IoT communication.
  
• Proficiency in backend languages: C++, C#, .NET Core, or Go.
  
• Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL and large-scale data ingestion patterns.
  
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, event-driven architecture.
  
• Strong ownership, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities.
  
• Excellent communication and stakeholder coordination.
  
• Ability to guide and mentor teams with limited cloud experience.
  
• Comfort working in ambiguous, fast-paced environments.
  
  

Good to have Skills

• AWS Solution Architect certification.
  
• Experience in IoT platforms and device integrations.
  
• Experience with multi‑tenant SaaS architectures.
  
• Exposure to FinOps and cloud cost optimization.
  
• Experience with performance tuning and distributed observability tools.
