Job Summary
Synechron is seeking an experienced
Cloud Engineer (Architect) to lead the design and implementation of
scalable, secure, and resilient multi-cloud platforms. This role is critical in driving enterprise cloud strategy, ensuring agility, innovation, and cost optimization across applications.
The ideal candidate will architect and optimize cloud solutions across
AWS, GCP, and multi-cloud environments, working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-performance and future-ready cloud ecosystems.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead architecture and engineering of multi-cloud infrastructure solutions
- Design and implement secure, scalable, and high-availability cloud systems
- Evaluate cloud tools and platforms for enterprise adoption (POCs/assessments)
- Translate cloud strategy into execution frameworks, standards, and guidelines
- Collaborate with product and engineering teams to integrate cloud capabilities
- Optimize cloud environments for cost, performance, and reliability
- Drive improvements in existing cloud platforms and dependencies
- Ensure adherence to security, governance, and compliance frameworks
- Stay updated on emerging cloud technologies and manage vendor ecosystems
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship within the team
Required Skills & Technologies
Programming
- Java / Python / Go – 4+ years hands-on experience
Cloud Platforms
- AWS or GCP – 4+ years of experience in architecture & implementation
- Strong understanding of compute, storage, networking, and security layers
Infrastructure & Automation
- Terraform (preferred), Ansible
- Experience with infrastructure automation and IaC practices
Containerization & Orchestration
- Docker
- Kubernetes (2+ years experience)
Monitoring & Observability
- Prometheus, ELK Stack, CloudWatch
- Tools like Splunk, Dynatrace
Networking & Security
- Cloud networking, traffic routing, firewalls, and security best practices
Preferred Skills
- Cloud-native architecture design
- API Gateway tools and integration
- CNCF ecosystem tools
- Additional IaC tools (CloudFormation, ARM templates)
- CI/CD pipelines for cloud deployments
Experience Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in enterprise cloud architecture and implementation
- Proven experience working with AWS or GCP-based platforms
- 4+ years of software development experience (Java/Python/Go)
- 2+ years experience with Terraform or similar IaC tools
- 2+ years of hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes
- Experience building secure, scalable, multi-tenant cloud solutions
- Exposure to multi-cloud environments, CI/CD, and cloud-native deployments
Key Technical Areas
- Cloud infrastructure design (compute, storage, networking)
- Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible)
- Containerization & orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Monitoring & observability frameworks
- Cloud security and compliance standards
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Design and develop cloud infrastructure solutions
- Conduct POCs and evaluations for new cloud technologies
- Automate infrastructure provisioning and deployments
- Monitor system performance and ensure security compliance
- Collaborate with stakeholders in Agile delivery environments
- Develop documentation, standards, and best practices
- Mentor team members and provide technical guidance
Qualifications
- Bachelor's / Master's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field
- Certifications preferred:
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect
- Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect
