Cloud Architect

Role Description The Cloud Architect role is a full-time, on-site position based in Canada. This role is responsible for designing and implementing scalable, secure, and reliable cloud architectures to support Esse India's business applications and internal systems. Day-to-day tasks include assessing technical requirements, defining cloud infrastructure standards, collaborating with software development teams on application deployment, and integrating various services and platforms. The Cloud Architect will monitor system performance, ensure data security and compliance, optimize costs, and troubleshoot complex technical issues. They will also provide technical leadership, documentation, and guidance to stakeholders on cloud strategy and best practices.

Qualifications

• Strong skills in Solution Architecture and Architecture, with experience designing end-to-end cloud solutions.
• Hands-on expertise in Infrastructure, including network, storage, security, and cloud platform services (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Background in Software Development with ability to work closely with engineering teams on cloud-native and microservices-based applications.
• Experience in Integration, including APIs, middleware, and connecting cloud services with on-premises systems.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field; advanced certifications in cloud platforms are an advantage.
• Proficiency in scripting or automation tools (such as Python, PowerShell, Terraform, or CloudFormation).
• Knowledge of security best practices, compliance standards, backup and disaster recovery in cloud environments.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in cross-functional teams.
• Experience in consulting or client-facing technical roles is beneficial.
