In this position the associate will serve as a key liaison between Leica Microsystems Global and India marketing teams and customers, providing clinical information and product recommendations.
They will help define the next generation of products for India and manage clinical studies for both existing and future products.
The role involves regular collaboration with the global business unit and presenting LMS technology to internal teams and external audiences through various formats. The specialist will engage with healthcare and scientific communities to support product launches and improve market penetration through clinical information. They will partner with external organizations and individuals to enhance product application, industry positioning, and market reach. The associate must be an expert in surgical procedures, operating room equipment setup, and provide technical assistance to surgeons. A strong understanding of medical terminology, ethics, surgical workflows, anesthesia, and common drugs used in operating theaters is essential for this role.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide technical support and expertise to customers and internal teams, ensuring effective use and optimal performance of medical microscopy solutions.
Become a subject matter expert on product features, functionalities, and applications, and deliver both pre-sales and post-sales support, including demonstrations, installations, training, and troubleshooting.
Collaborate with sales, marketing, and product development teams to gather customer feedback and contribute to product improvement initiatives.
Develop and conduct training sessions for customers and internal stakeholders, while also creating and maintaining technical documentation and user manuals.
Participate in quality assurance activities, testing new products and software updates to ensure they meet performance and reliability standards.Build strong customer relationships by understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions, while staying updated on market trends and competitor products.
Assist in regulatory submissions, review customer-facing documents, and contribute to publications such as guidelines, technical bulletins, and articles
Training Responsibilities: (Required)
Complete all assigned and required training satisfactorily and on time.
Skills Required:
Microscopy Expertise: Proficient in various microscopy technologies (e.g., light, fluorescence) and image analysis software, with a solid understanding of optical systems relevant to medical applications. Medical Knowledge: Familiar with the use of microscopy in surgical fields (e.g., neurosurgery, ophthalmology, ENT) and knowledgeable about medical device regulations and standards. Training & Support: Skilled in training healthcare professionals on equipment use, troubleshooting technical issues, and providing post-sales support for optimal system utilization. Customer Engagement: Strong in communication, relationship management, and delivering presentations, ensuring effective customer interaction and understanding of product functionalities.
Our Expectations
Minimum 5 yrs of experience with bachelor's degree in biomedical engineering, medical technology, or a related field.
Previous experience in a similar role within the medical equipment industry is preferred.
Strong technical aptitude and ability to quickly learn and understand complex medical equipment systems.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with customers and internal teams.
Proficiency in relevant software applications and tools.Willingness to travel as needed to customer sites for installations, training, and support
