Key Responsibilities:
Patient Diagnosis & Treatment:
- Test and diagnose patients with blood disorders such as anemia, hemophilia, and leukemia.
- Conduct physical examinations and analyze patients medical histories.
- Analyze blood samples and identify abnormalities in white or red blood cells.
- Administer chemotherapy for lymphoma or leukemia patients.
- Treat blood-clotting disorders and provide appropriate dietary or medication advice.
Procedures & Clinical Work:
- Perform bone marrow aspirations and related diagnostic procedures.
- Potentially perform surgical operations related to hematology.
- Maintain detailed records of patients health and treatment history.
Collaboration & Consultation:
- Consult with other medical professionals on complex cases.
- Utilize physicians notes and recommendations for referred patients.
- Analyze historical patient data to make informed treatment decisions.
