Job Description

Join our tax operations team to drive accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in financial securities and tax reporting.

Job Summary


As an Associate in the Tax Operations team, you perform reconciliations between banking and tax systems, prepare and review tax reports, and ensure compliance with service standards. You will liaise with upstream operations, interpret corporate events, and analyze transactional activity for tax implications. Your role requires strong attention to detail, effective stakeholder management, and the ability to adapt to changing tax laws.

Job Responsibilities

  • Perform reconciliations between banking and tax systems for accurate tax reporting.
  • Review transaction feeds and oversee tax withholding and remittance to US tax authorities.
  • Liaise with upstream teams for transaction corrections and support across product types.
  • Interpret and apply corporate events and fund movements to tax processes.
  • Ascertain tax codes for US securities by checking market sources.
  • Analyze transactional activity from a tax implication perspective.
  • Maintain KPI, SOP, and MIS documentation to ensure process transparency.

Required qualifications, skills and capabilities

  • Bachelor's degree with 4+ years of relevant work experience in financial securities and tax operations.
  • Strong knowledge of financial securities, UK and US tax, and MS Excel.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Demonstrated accuracy, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure as a team player.

Preferred qualifications, skills and capabilities

  • Understanding of corporate actions and security transfers.
  • Experience in tax and gain/loss reporting.
  • Ability to impart training to new hires and manage team performance.
  • Capacity to build effective relationships with cross-functional and geographical teams.
