The Vice President, Billing is a leadership role within State Street Investment Management responsible for defining, shaping, and delivering superior billing experience across strategic transformational initiatives. Operating at the intersection of business, middle office and technology, this role operates within a globally client billing team, providing clarity, structure, and analytical rigor to ensure solutions deliver sustainable business and client value. This role is critical to ensuring business intent is clearly understood, responsibly translated into billing requirements, and consistently delivered at scale.

Responsibilities

  • Evolve and expandbilling metricsfor greaterstrategicalignment,monitoring, andreporting.
  • Lead end-to-end incident remediation, resolution, and future state planning.
  • Assess and enhance risk controls and business continuity planning for billing.
  • Directbilling excellence and transformationto improve service delivery, drive efficiency, and proactively reduce operational risk.
  • Partner and lead all RMS IT initiative to transform and define future state billing technology.
  • Collaborate with and communicate project status to business team leads and senior leadership.
  • Maintain strong understanding of systems, data, and architectural constraints to guide practical, scalable solution design.
  • Ensure solutions prioritize reuse, sustainability, and long‑term value rather than bespoke or short‑term fixes.

  • Champion responsible adoption of AI within business analysis activities to improve efficiency, insight synthesis, and documentation quality.

Preferred qualifications and education

  • Bachelors (12+) years experience in Finance, Business, or a related discipline.

  • Extensive experience in middle office or finance within complex, regulated financial service environments.
  • Certain knowledge of accounting system and portfolio management. NAV valuation E2E client billing process.
  • Demonstrated understanding of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Generative AI concepts, with the ability to practically apply AI‑enabled tools (e.g., Copilot or similar) to improve productivity, decision‑making, and delivery outcomes.
  • Proven ability to operate and communicate effectively at both strategic and execution levels.
  • Good interpersonal skills and strong organizational skills to co-operate with other State Street Investment Management key stakeholders.
  • Strong time management skills - ability to prioritize tasks and perform effectively within strict deadlines.
  • Good Problem solving & analytical skills alongside with strong communication skills
