Hiring: Senior Technical Lead – Drainage & Utilities

Role Overview
We are looking for a Senior Technical Lead to join our Water, Drainage & Land Development team, delivering complex infrastructure projects across roads, rail, and urban development.
This role requires strong expertise in drainage design, hydraulic modelling, and multi-utility coordination, with exposure to UK standards and international project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end drainage design (stormwater & foul systems) across concept to detailed stages
- Perform and review hydraulic & drainage modelling using industry-standard tools
- Manage wet & dry utility coordination across infrastructure projects
- Ensure designs comply with UK/international standards (SuDS, DMRB, etc.)
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams, clients, and regulatory authorities
- Support BIM/CAD coordination (Civil 3D and related platforms)
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical quality and delivery
Core Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline
- 8+ years of experience in drainage / water infrastructure projects
- Strong hands-on experience in:
- Drainage Design (roads, rail, infrastructure)
- Hydraulic / Drainage Modelling
- Utility Coordination (wet & dry utilities)
- Proficiency in tools such as:
- Civil 3D
- InfoDrainage / MicroDrainage / InfoWorks ICM / WS
- Experience working on stormwater and foul drainage systems
- Proven experience in design and modelling roles (not just coordination or planning)
