Job Description:
We are looking for a highly motivated and skilled Structural Design Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing various structural elements and ensuring their compliance with industry standards. The role involves preparing comprehensive design reports, drawings, and BOQs, as well as proof-checking design documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design structural members, including beams, columns, trusses, and other load-bearing elements.
- Design foundations such as shallow footings, pile foundations, and mat foundations to ensure stability and safety.
- Develop designs for retaining walls, ensuring they meet geotechnical and structural requirements.
- Engineer liquid-retaining structures like tanks, reservoirs, and similar structures, focusing on durability and leak prevention.
- Prepare detailed design reports, technical drawings, and BOQs (Bill of Quantities) in alignment with tender documents.
- Proof-check structural design reports to ensure accuracy, feasibility, and adherence to project specifications.
- Collaborate with architects, project managers, and other engineers to integrate structural designs into overall project plans.
- Ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards (e.g., IS codes, Eurocodes, ACI).
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- Experience: Proven experience in structural design and analysis.
- Proficiency in using design software such as STAAD Pro, ETABS, SAFE, or SAP2000.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD or similar drafting tools for creating structural drawings.
