Construction Manager Job Summary
Oversee residential construction projects in the U.S. from planning through completion, ensuring quality, timeline, and budget goals are consistently achieved. This role requires hands-on experience in land development, permitting, and drafting, with a strong understanding of residential code compliance and layout management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and resource planning
- Supervise on-site construction teams, subcontractors, and suppliers
- Monitor costs, approve material purchases, and manage construction risks
- Ensure full compliance with local, state, and federal building codes and safety regulations
- Oversee land development activities including grading, drainage, and utility coordination
- Manage site layout plans, plot plans, and ensure alignment with civil engineering drawings
- Coordinate permitting processes and documentation with local authorities
- Review and contribute to technical drawings, including stormwater detention designs
- Maintain regular communication with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams
