Job Description:

Collect and prepare soil, concrete, aggregate, and bitumen samples following standard procedures and project specifications.
Conduct soil tests such as moisture content, compaction, grain size analysis, Atterberg limits, pH, and organic content.
Perform material tests including concrete compressive strength, aggregate testing, bitumen testing, density, and moisture analysis.
Operate, maintain, and calibrate laboratory equipment to ensure accurate and reliable test results.
Record test data accurately, maintain logbooks, and prepare detailed test reports for review by senior staff.
Follow quality standards and testing protocols (NABL guidelines) to ensure consistency and compliance.
Assist in sample preparation tasks such as mixing, curing, molding, and sieving as required for different tests.
Maintain a clean and safe laboratory environment and ensure adherence to safety procedures and PPE requirements.
Identify testing errors, equipment issues, or anomalies and report them promptly to senior technicians or engineers.
Support senior lab personnel in routine testing activities, quality control procedures, and efficient workflow management.

Qualifications:

Diploma/B.Tech in Civil Engineering from a recognized university or institution.
Strong understanding of basic civil engineering concepts, materials, and testing procedures.
Knowledge of soil mechanics, concrete technology, aggregate properties, and bitumen testing methods.
