Job Description
- Oversee and supervise daily construction activities on-site, ensuring strict adherence to project plans, specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations.
- Monitor work progress, identify potential delays or issues, and implement corrective actions to maintain the project schedule and budget.
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure quality control, compliance with design specifications, and adherence to safety standards.
- Manage and coordinate activities of contractors, subcontractors, and laborers to ensure seamless operations and project delivery.
- Lead and supervise the civil engineering team, including supervisors, technicians, and other staff, ensuring optimal performance and timely completion of tasks.
- Maintain accurate records of site activities, including daily progress reports, material usage, and labor attendance to track performance and project status.
- Ensure the maintenance and proper documentation of the Site Field Quality Plan (SFQP) and test reports, ensuring compliance with quality standards.
- Prepare joint measurement sheets, material reconciliation reports, and coordinate with clients for certification to ensure accurate tracking of project progress.
- Proactively resolve technical issues and challenges that arise during construction, ensuring minimal disruption to the project timeline and quality
Requirements
- Diploma/Degree in Civil Engineering.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in site supervision and construction management.
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in AutoCAD for reviewing and modifying construction designs.
- Strong knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint for reporting and project tracking.
- Understanding of construction methodologies, site management, and quality control standards.
- Experience in vendor coordination and contract management.
- Familiarity with safety and regulatory compliance in construction.
- Knowledge of structural analysis and design principles.
- Proficiency in project scheduling tools such as Primavera or MS Project.
- Experience in geotechnical and foundation engineering.
- Understanding of material testing and quality assurance procedures.
- Familiarity with BIM (Building Information Modeling) for enhanced project planning and execution.
