About the Role
The role holder will be responsible for Infrastructure Projects, Repair & Maintenance activity for Building civil related work. The role holder will have to be a part of different civil projects and take responsibility for developing Capex planning, Budget preparation, schedule planning & control. In addition, the role holder will have to manage guest house related, office furniture, plumbing, painting related jobs, etc. The role is responsible for the construction, maintenance, and management of all buildings, structures, and site infrastructure to ensure safe and efficient operations.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for infrastructure project and building maintenance activities, ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient operations across the site.
- Responsible for Civil & structural design & able to prepare detailed plans of civil specifics for requirements like fire hydrant, scrubber, utility piping & equipment, etc., foundation load calculation, and its design for plant utilities and other engineering areas.
- Provides input to project schedule and plans, then executes the plans under the guidance of seniors and controls civil construction, carpentry, plumbing, painting, piping, structure-related new & modification work.
- Able to execute site supervision, site progress & all measurement verification work independently.
- Ensure proper drainage system of stormwater & effluent water, identifying risks and implementing preventive measures.
- Due consideration of potential environmental hazards, structural hazards, and other factors in planning and execution stages and suggest preventive measures.
- Responsible for engineering drawing management, building repairs and maintenance, plumbing, guest house maintenance, and coordination with architects, consultants, designers & contractors for civil, structure, interior & exterior work.
- Adhere to safety CAPA and ISO compliance: Ensure effective implementation of PI EHS Policies on shop floor working and ensure it is strictly followed and deployed.
- Comfortable with IT tools MS Office and SAP PM, MM, and PS module working.
- Strict system adherence to compliance and regulations- Building stability certification, safety norm understanding & compliance implementation, local statutory body compliance filament, PECO related building norm for tank farm, chemical store building norm understanding & fulfilled as per Govt. body regulations and know-how local and BOCW legal requirements.
- Have good experience to control sub-contractors and labor contractors, internal and external service providers and their safety-related requirements.
- Digitalization of civil drawings and ensuring a complete set of documentation is kept of all drawings of civil infrastructure of the entire R&D, and is kept up to date whenever there are changes.
- Able to face various audits (internal & external).

B.Tech Civil
Required Skills
- Better understanding of ISO 18001 & 45001 and regularly maintain documentation.
- Experience in managing infrastructure projects and building maintenance activities.
- Ability to prepare detailed civil plans and execute site supervision.
- Proficient in IT tools such as MS Office and SAP PM, MM, and PS modules.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with digitalization of civil drawings.
- Knowledge of local and BOCW legal requirements.
- Experience in controlling sub-contractors and labor contractors.
