The Role

As a Civil Engineer Level II with Worley, you will work closely with our existing team to deliver projects for our clients while continuing to develop your skills and experience etc.

Drainage & Utility Design

  • Develop detailed designs for:
    • Stormwater drainage networks
    • Process & sanitary sewer systems
    • Oily water drainage systems
    • Potable, firewater, and utility water systems
    • Underground piping and culverts
  • Conduct hydraulic calculations using relevant software (e.g., StormCAD, SewerCAD, Civil 3D, WaterCAD).
Engineering Deliverables

  • Prepare and review:
    • Drainage design basis, reports, calculations
    • Underground utility layouts
    • Grading plans, erosion control plans
    • Manhole schedules, pump sizing, catch basin details
    • BOQs and material specifications
  • Ensure designs meet company, client, and international standards (API, NFPA, AASHTO, ASCE, BS/EN, local codes).
Coordination & Leadership

  • Lead coordination with civil, mechanical, process, electrical, and piping departments for UG interfaces.
  • Review vendor documents, IFC drawings, and EPC contractor submittals.
  • Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and designers.
  • Participate in design reviews (IFC, HAZOP, Model Reviews).

Site & Project Support

  • Assist during construction with:
    • Field queries (RFIs)
    • Technical clarifications
    • Redline markups and as-built updates
  • Support project planning, estimation, and scheduling of UG deliverables.
About You

To be considered for this role it is envisaged you will possess the following attributes:

10–15 years of engineering experience in Oil & Gas, refinery, petrochemical, or EPC projects.

  • Strong hands-on expertise in:
    • Stormwater & sewage drainage design
    • Underground utilities engineering
    • Hydraulic modeling & calculations
    • Site grading and earthwork
  • Proficiency in:
    • Drainage & hydraulic software (StormCAD, InfoDrainage, SewerCAD, WaterCAD, HEC‑RAS, etc.)
  • Strong understanding of international codes and standards (AASHTO, API, ASCE, BS/EN, NFPA).
Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with:
    • Middle East Oil & Gas projects
    • FEED, Detailed Engineering, and EPC deliverables
    • BIM/3D model coordination (Navisworks, InfraWorks)
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering (Master's preferred but not mandatory).

  • Ability to lead and mentor junior staff.
  • Excellent communication and cross-disciplinary coordination skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
