Civil Engineer

Job Summary:

We're looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Junior Civil Engineer to join our team. As a Junior Civil Engineer, you'll work closely with senior engineers to design, develop, and implement civil engineering projects. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience and build a strong foundation in civil engineering.

Key Responsibilities:

- Design and Development:

- Assist in designing and developing civil engineering projects, including preparing engineering designs, documents, and calculations

- Utilize CAD software, such as AutoCAD and Civil 3D, to create detailed designs and drawings

- Project Support:

- Support project teams in the office and field on projects related to environmental remediation, construction oversight, and design

- Assist with contract administration, including preparing certificates and as-built drawings

- Field Investigations:

- Conduct field investigations and construction monitoring services under senior direction

- Perform civil and geotechnical engineering calculations and analyses using hand and computer-based tools

- Documentation:

- Prepare technical reports, including writing sections of reports, preparing figures and tables, and working with drafting and reproduction staff to produce final reports

- Develop and maintain accurate records of engineering data, such as tests, drawings, and field data

Requirements:

- Education:

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field

- Experience:

- 0 to 1 years of experience in civil engineering or a related field (fresh graduates with relevant internships or training are encouraged to apply)

- Skills:

- Proficiency in CAD software, such as AutoCAD and Civil 3D

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

- Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Preferred Qualifications:

- Certifications:

- Professional Engineer License (P.Eng) or Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification

- Experience:

- Experience with construction management, environmental remediation, or infrastructure projects

- Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations

- Software:

- Familiarity with software such as PCSWMM-2D, FLO-2D, RiverFlow2D, HEC-RAS, and HEC-HMS
