Role Overview
The Civil Engineer will be responsible for managing on-site construction activities, ensuring quality, safety, timelines, and cost control for real estate projects. The role involves coordination with contractors, consultants, and internal teams to deliver projects as per approved drawings and specifications.
Key Responsibilities
1. Site Execution & Supervision
- Supervise day-to-day civil construction activities including RCC, masonry, finishing, and external works.
- Ensure execution as per approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
- Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and site teams for smooth execution.
- Monitor manpower deployment and material usage at site.
2. Quality Control & Safety
- Ensure quality control checks at each stage of construction.
- Implement QA/QC procedures and maintain quality records.
- Ensure compliance with safety norms and site safety protocols.
- Identify and resolve quality and safety issues proactively.
3. Planning & Scheduling
- Assist in preparing construction schedules and work programs.
- Track progress against project timelines and highlight delays.
- Coordinate with planning and billing teams for work sequencing.
4. Coordination with Consultants
- Coordinate with architects, structural, MEP, and PMC consultants.
- Implement design changes and site instructions.
- Participate in site meetings and provide execution feedback.
5. Billing, Measurement & Cost Control
- Verify contractor bills and measurements.
- Ensure work execution within approved BOQs and budgets.
- Support value engineering initiatives where applicable.
6. Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain site records, daily progress reports (DPRs), and quality checklists.
- Prepare and submit weekly and monthly progress reports.
- Ensure proper documentation for handover and audits.
7. Handover & Snag Closure
- Support project handover activities.
- Coordinate snag rectification and final closures.
- Assist in occupancy / completion documentation.

- Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications.

Technical Skills
- Proficiency in AutoCAD for drawing understanding and mark-ups.
- Knowledge of MS Excel, MS Project (basic), and reporting tools.
- Familiarity with QA/QC procedures and safety standards.
Education
- B.E. / B.Tech in Civil Engineering or Diploma with relevant experience.
Preferred Experience
- Experience in residential, luxury housing, or high-rise construction.
- Experience with developer-side or PMC projects.
- Exposure to finishing works and handover processes.
