Citrix Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Citrix Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and optimizing our Citrix environments, as well as integrating cloud solutions. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with a strong focus on operational efficiency and innovation. The Citrix Engineer will stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to propose and develop solutions that support and grow our business.

Responsibilities

Manage and optimize Citrix environments, including Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops.

Collaborate with the team to migrate on-premises workloads to cloud environments.

Develop and implement automation scripts and tools using Terraform, Ansible, and Python.

Create and manage CI/CD pipelines for image management using GitHub Actions.

Collaborate with IT security teams to ensure secure Citrix and cloud deployments.

Optimize Citrix and cloud infrastructure to meet performance and cost targets.

Organize training sessions and seminars to enhance the skills of the team.

Maintain and update system documentation for all Citrix and cloud environments.

Resolve escalated issues arising from Citrix and cloud operations, coordinating with other departments as necessary.

Ensure Citrix and cloud migration projects are completed within planned timelines and budgets.

Skills

Must have

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience
• Certifications in Citrix technologies (e.g., Citrix Certified Professional
• Virtualization).
• Proven experience in managing Citrix environments and cloud migration.
• Strong understanding of Citrix, cloud computing, and virtualization software.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Terraform, Ansible, and Python.
• Experience with CI/CD tools, particularly GitHub Actions.
• Excellent organizational, leadership, and decision-making skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with cloud services management and operations.
• Familiarity with IT service management principles and frameworks such as ITIL.
• Experience with automation and orchestration tools.
• Background in virtual technologies such as VMware Horizon and Azure Virtual Desktop.
