Responsibilities:
Execute static and video shoots, ensuring technical excellence and artistic alignment.
Collaborate with the team to interpret the script's visual requirements and emotional nuances and create shot breakdowns
Collaborate with the team to create the script as per the brief
Select appropriate cameras, lenses, and equipment to achieve the desired visual style and technical needs.
Work with the team to source the appropriate equipment and select the team required for the production as per the budget set for the shoot
Design and set up lighting arrangements to enhance scene mood and atmosphere.
Determine camera angles, shot sizes, and framing to effectively convey the narrative and emotions.
Plan and execute camera movements (e.g., pans, tilts, dollies) to add dynamic energy to scenes.
Establish a consistent color palette that aligns with the story's mood and tone.
Possess technical expertise in camera technology, lenses, lighting, and post-production processes.
Lead and manage camera and lighting crews, delegating tasks and providing guidance.
Problem-solve technical challenges that arise during shooting to maintain visual quality.
Work closely with editors and colorists in post-production to uphold the intended visual style.
Maintain visual continuity across different scenes, locations, and shots.
Stay updated on emerging technologies and techniques to bring innovation to the visual storytelling process.
The cinematographer's role involves translating creative concepts into compelling visual imagery and collaborating closely with various teams to achieve the director's vision.
Maintain equipment and troubleshoot technical issues as needed.
Requirement:
Should own a camera
Candidates should have editing skills if required
Should be creative and able to coordinate with the in-house design & copy team
Loves to travel and is willing to hit the road for shoots
