Swarna Bharat TV is a mission-led creative platform telling precise, high-quality stories on Bharat's history, culture, spirituality, and knowledge systems. Our YouTube channel is live with our show RashtraGaatha, and in the coming months we will be launching a total of twelve original showsa mix of animated series, on-field documentaries, studio-set formats, and feature-length specials. From our Navi Mumbai studioequipped with eight versatile in-house setsand regular field shoots, we pair research-first writing with cinematic craft to reconnect audiences with Bharatiya heritage and Sanatan values. We're preparing our originals for wider distribution across leading media platforms, including OTT.
The Role:
We're hiring a Cinematographer (DoP) & Video Editor who can light and shoot with a small, agile crew and edit with strong colour correction when off set. This is a founding-team role for a craft-driven professional who values clarity, speed, and responsibilitythe classic startup mindset: ownership, speed, adaptability.
What You'll Do:
As DoP (Primary)
- Shape lighting, camera, and composition on our eight studio sets (anchors, two-person interviews) and on nimble field assignments.
- Translate scripts into visuals; create concise look notes (key/fill/rim ratios, CCT, diffusion, lensing) and plan quick relights for batch days.
- Maintain safe power and tidy cabling; coordinate closely with Location Sound; oversee clean audio capture and on-set data wrangling; hand over media the same day.
As Editor (Secondary)
- Edit talk-led segments in Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve, and derive 35 shorts per long video.
- Colour-correct and grade confidently: S-Log3 Rec.709 (CST/LUT), angle matching, mixed-light fixes, and skin-tone fidelity using scopes.
- Perform basic audio cleanup; prepare accurate SRT captions; keep projects impeccably organised; deliver platform-ready masters.
- Integrate AI/stock plates and chroma-key (green-screen) when needed.
Must-Haves
- 35 years of professional cinematography and editing.
- Mastery of three-point & green-screen lighting, colour fundamentals, and narrative pacing.
- Hands-on with Sony FX3/FX30/A7SII and COB systems (Godox/Aputure/ARRI).
- Disciplined backups and media handover; small-crew agility; Hindi/Hinglish comfort.
- Startup mindset: ownership, speed, adaptability.
- Confidence across both studio and field environments.
