Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Chromatography Software Developer with hands-on experience in HPLC systems and end-to-end software development. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining chromatography data systems (CDS) and instrument control software, ensuring seamless integration with laboratory instruments and enterprise systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, test, and maintain chromatography software applications for HPLC systems.
  • Develop end-to-end software solutions including requirements gathering, architecture design, coding, testing, deployment, and support.
  • Implement instrument control modules and data acquisition interfaces for HPLC instruments.
  • Develop algorithms for chromatographic data processing (peak detection, integration, calibration, quantitation).
  • Integrate chromatography software with LIMS, ELN, and enterprise systems.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards such as 21 CFR Part 11, GxP, and ALCOA+ principles.
  • Perform validation, verification, and documentation of software systems in regulated environments.
  • Troubleshoot instrument communication protocols (RS232, TCP/IP, USB) and resolve integration issues.
  • Collaborate with scientists, QA teams, and hardware engineers to improve system performance.
  • Participate in code reviews, unit testing, and continuous integration processes.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, Analytical Chemistry, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in chromatography software development.
  • Hands-on experience working with HPLC systems and chromatography data systems (e.g., Empower, Open Lab, Chrome Leon, etc.).
  • Strong knowledge of end-to-end software development lifecycle (SDLC).
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as C#, .NET, Java, Python, or C++.
  • Experience with database systems (SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL).
  • Understanding of chromatographic data analysis and processing algorithms.
  • Experience in regulated environments (pharma, biotech, CRO).
  • Knowledge of instrument communication protocols and device drivers.
