Role Overview

We are looking for a visionary Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to lead the technology and product development of Chayan Karo.

This is a founding leadership role responsible for building and scaling the company's technology infrastructure, developing the engineering team, and shaping the long-term technology roadmap.

The CTO will play a critical role in transforming the platform into a highly scalable national marketplace for home services.

Location: Lucknow (Hybrid)

Remote collaboration possible when required.

Key Responsibilities

Technology Strategy

Define and execute the company's long-term technology vision

Design scalable platform architecture for rapid growth

Ensure platform reliability, security, and performance

Product Development

Lead development of mobile apps, backend systems, and admin platforms

Build scalable marketplace infrastructure

Drive product innovation aligned with user and service partner needs

Engineering Leadership

Build and lead the engineering team

Establish strong development processes and engineering culture

Collaborate closely with product, operations, and business teams

Platform Scalability

Design systems capable of supporting large-scale marketplace operations

Implement scalable cloud infrastructure and efficient data architecture

Continuously improve platform performance and stability

Required Qualifications

Experience building scalable platforms, marketplaces, or SaaS products

Strong understanding of backend architecture, cloud infrastructure, and mobile ecosystems

Experience designing REST APIs and distributed systems

Experience leading or mentoring engineering teams

Minimum 4+ years of professional experience

Preferred Background

Graduates from Tier-1 institutes (IIT, NIT, IIIT, BITS or equivalent)

Experience in high-growth startups or marketplace platforms

Strong product mindset and ability to translate business needs into technology solutions
