Job Title: Assistant General Manager AGM/Chief Manager Sales
Location: Kanpur - Uttar Pradesh
812 years of experience in radio/print
Minimum 35 years in a leadership role
For this position we are targeting candidates from Radio (Big FM, Mirchi, Fever, Red FM, Orange) and then from Print (Dainik Bhaskar, Hindustan times- should have exposure to solution sales, Activations)
Role Overview The Assistant General Manager Sales will be responsible for leading and driving the overall revenue strategy for the Kanpur edition. The role requires strong market understanding, leadership capability, and expertise in media advertising sales (print & digital).
Key Responsibilities
1. Revenue & Business Growth
Drive overall revenue targets for the Kanpur market
Develop and execute annual and quarterly sales strategies
Strengthen retail, classified, and corporate ad sales
Identify new revenue opportunities in print and digital platforms
2. Client & Market Management
Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and advertising
agencies
Ensure high client retention and satisfaction
Track competitor activity and market trends
Expand market penetration across key business categories
3. Team Leadership
Lead, mentor, and motivate the sales team
Set KRAs and monitor performance metrics
Conduct regular performance reviews and strategy meetings
Build a high-performance sales culture
4. Strategic Collaboration
Work closely with editorial and marketing teams for integrated campaigns
Ensure smooth execution of client campaigns
Support innovation in sales offerings and brand positioning

Candidate Profile
812 years of experience in radio/print
Minimum 35 years in a leadership role
Strong exposure to retail and local market dynamics (Kanpur/Lucknow
preferred, however strong candidature will not get limited to geographical preference)
Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets
Excellent negotiation, communication, and leadership skills
Strategic thinking with strong execution capability
