Role Overview
The Chief Sales and Marketing Officer (CSMO) is responsible for leading Skilzon's overall sales growth, marketing strategy, brand positioning, and revenue generation. This role combines strategic planning with hands-on execution to drive admissions, partnerships, and market expansion.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Leadership
- Define and execute sales strategies to achieve admission and revenue targets
- Oversee admissions, counselling, and sales teams
- Set targets, track performance, and optimise conversion processes
- Build and manage institutional partnerships and B2B opportunities
Marketing & Growth
- Lead marketing strategy across digital, offline, and performance channels
- Oversee brand positioning, campaigns, and lead-generation activities
- Work closely with content, performance marketing, and design teams
- Analyse market trends, competition, and campaign performance
Team & Operations
- Recruit, train, and mentor sales and marketing teams
- Establish reporting systems, KPIs, and review mechanisms
- Coordinate with academic, operations, and leadership teams
- Ensure ethical sales practices and brand consistency
Strategy & Reporting
- Prepare monthly and quarterly growth reports
- Forecast revenue and plan expansion strategies
- Optimise marketing spend and ROI
- Support leadership in strategic decision-making
Requirements
- Proven experience in sales and marketing leadership
- Strong understanding of admissions, education sales, or service-based sales
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills
- Ability to work with targets, data, and performance metrics
