About Yes Chef: Yes Chef is pioneering a new standard for school cafeterias, focusing on nutritional excellence and knowledge empowerment to children (Age 1 to 18 yrs) and the school ecosystem. We partner with schools to design, set up, and operate state-of-the-art cafeterias while integrating nutrition into the student curriculum. 

*Founder has a chain of schools running across the country for the last 2 decades.

Role Summary: The Chief Operating Officer (COO) will serve as the Founder's strategic thought partner and operational engine. This role is the central coordinating force for all internal and external stakeholders, ensuring seamless execution ensuring cross-functional alignment to accelerate Yes Chef's growth and mission

Responsibilities

  1. Operational planning and execution oversight
  • Design, implement, and monitor cross-functional standard operating procedures (SOPs) to streamline operations, from kitchen setup to daily cafeteria management
  • Act as a gatekeeper for the Founder, filtering and prioritizing high-impact decisions, communications, and meetings
  • Proactively resolve daily bottlenecks and risks within the team
  1. Stakeholder alignment & communication
  • Develop and manage an internal communication rhythm (all-hands meetings, task tracker updates, reports) to ensure all stakeholders are on the same page at all times
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for key external partners
  • Prepare and summarize comprehensive reports, presentations, and documentation for investor updates or advisory board meetings, articulating company progress, challenges and future strategy
  • Act as an ambassador for Yes Chef's values—nutritional excellence and knowledge empowerment—ensuring these principles are embedded in all operational decisions and communications
  1. Strategic support & Special Projects
  • Conduct research and initiate new potential school partners 
  • Lead the planning and execution of high-priority special projects, (integrating a new technology platform/feature  or piloting a new curriculum module), from conception to launch
  • Partner with the Founder on future organizational structure, including defining new roles and scaling the team as the company grows

Qualifications: Preferably an MBA graduate

Experience: 5+ years in Strategy & Business Development

Job Location: Delhi Public School Panvel (Navi Mumbai) will be the base but the candidate is expected to travel between multiple school sites and cities as the business demands.

Understanding of F&B space is an added advantage
