Job Description

Supervise and coordinate the operational activities of the decentralized wire meshes production unit in India, from order entry to product shipment, within respect to allocated times, costs, and expected quality to meet customer satisfaction. This role also involves compliance with regulations, safety, human resource management, machine fleet management, stock management, and daily operational management to achieve the set objectives.

1. HIERARCHICAL AND FUNCTIONAL LINKS

  • Hierarchical link : Reports to the General Manager of India and FRANCE.
  • Functional links: Manager of the wire meshes Business Unit France, Quality Leader wire meshes Business Unit France, Maintenance and new works Manager France, Financial Director of France, Industrial Sales Director, and Purchasing Manager.
  • External Relations: Local financial advisory firm, local suppliers/partners, and administrative authorities.

2. MAIN ACTIVITIES

  • Lead and implement all necessary measures to ensure production complies with procedures, quality standards, costs, times, deadlines, and safety requirements. Communicate with stakeholders and take corrective actions when needed.
  • Manage logistics (scheduling, launching, and stock control), communicate with stakeholders, and take corrective actions when necessary.
  • Drive, analyze, and propose improvements to processes (manufacturing and logistics).
  • Lead preventive and corrective quality actions.
  • Manage the sites human resources, make decisions regarding recruitment possibilities, and handle disciplinary matters.
  • Provide periodic reports to the team in France (administrative, operational, financial, and budgetary).
  • Manage local supply purchases (operational aspects).
  • Supervise and optimize resources, ensuring alignment of workload/capacity for both workforce and machinery as well as inventory.

3. RESPONSIBILITY AND AUTHORITY :

  • Full latitude to carry out the mission.
  • Operate in compliance with procedures; escalate issues to the manager if difficulties arise.
  • Adhere to the company s ethical charter.
  • Responsible for the organization and coherence of work procedures in compliance with legislation.
  • Ensure the application of legal provisions in social and fiscal matters.
  • Oversee the monitoring and evaluation of qualitative and quantitative activities.
  • Commit to a continuous improvement approach.
  • Coordinate and lead the actions of the managers under his responsibility.
  • Manage the team effectively.
  • Accountable for achieving objectives to ensure the company s financial sustainability.
  • Guarantee compliance with health and safety regulations in the workplace.

4. SKILLS AND/OR KNOWLEDGE :

  • Engineer with a background focused on business management and technical disciplines (mechanical and/or weaving), with 3 to 5 years of experience managing a production workshop, ideally in weaving.
  • Alignment with the company s values.
  • Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and diplomatic skills.
  • Proficiency in written and verbal communication.
  • General knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
  • Fluency in English (reading, speaking, writing); fluent in French would be an advantage.
