Chief Operating Officer (COO) - Advanced Technology Services (ATS)

About the Role

As Chief Operating Officer, you will be a key member of Genpact's executive leadership team, responsible for driving enterprise-wide operational excellence across AI-powered services, platforms, and delivery organizations. Reporting directly to the Chief Technology & Innovation Officer, you will lead Genpact's next phase of transformation under GenpactNext-scaling Advanced Tech Solutions, modernizing operating models, and ensuring predictable, high-quality execution across all service lines and geographies.

This role blends strategic leadership with hands-on operational stewardship. You will oversee global delivery, engineering, product operations, customer success, and execution governance-translating Genpact's vision into consistent financial performance, client impact, and sustainable growth.

Responsibilities

Enterprise Operating Model & Execution Strategy

  • Define and lead the enterprise-wide operating model to support AI-first, platform-led service delivery at global scale.

  • Translate Genpact's strategic vision for ATS into executable operating plans, OKRs, and performance dashboards.

  • Ensure alignment between strategy, delivery capacity, cost structures, and growth objectives.

Global Service Delivery & Operational Excellence

  • Own end-to-end global delivery operations across AI, digital, analytics, and transformation services.

  • Drive standardization, scalability, and best-in-class operational practices across regions, industries, and service lines.

  • Ensure consistent client outcomes through strong execution governance, delivery predictability, and service quality.

AI-Led Transformation & Platform Adoption

  • Accelerate enterprise adoption of ATS platforms across operations.

  • Partner with Product, Engineering, and AI Research leaders to operationalize platform innovation at scale.

  • Ensure operational readiness for new AI offerings, including talent, processes, tooling, and change management.

Financial Performance & P&L Management

  • Own operational P&L performance, including margin improvement, productivity gains, and cost optimization.

  • Drive data-driven decisions around capacity planning, utilization, automation, and investment prioritization.

  • Balance growth, scalability, risk, and profitability across a complex global portfolio.

Quality, Risk, Compliance & Responsible AI

  • Ensure enterprise-grade quality, reliability, security, and regulatory compliance across all operations.

  • Embed Responsible AI principles into operational governance, delivery frameworks, and client execution.

  • Partner with Risk, Legal, and Security teams to proactively manage enterprise and client risk.

Operational Agility & Transformation Programs

  • Lead large-scale transformation initiatives focused on simplification, automation, and operating leverage.

  • Eliminate structural bottlenecks and improve speed-to-value across sales-to-delivery and innovation-to-scale cycles.

  • Champion continuous improvement, Lean, and AI-enabled operational excellence.

Client Partnership & Value Realization

  • Act as an executive sponsor for strategic client relationships, ensuring delivery excellence and value realization.

  • Partner with Sales and Client Partners to shape scalable, profitable solutions that meet evolving client needs.

  • Strengthen Genpact's reputation as a trusted execution partner for AI-led business transformation.

Leadership, Culture & Talent Strategy

  • Lead and inspire a large, globally distributed operations and delivery organization.

  • Build a strong leadership bench with clear accountability, succession planning, and talent mobility.

  • Foster a high-performance, values-driven culture focused on ownership, transparency, and customer impact.

Executive Engagement

  • Serve as a key advisor to the ATS Leadership on operational health, scalability, and execution risk.

  • Communicate operational performance, trade-offs, and transformation progress with clarity and rigor.

  • Partner closely with the CFO, CIO, CTO, CHRO, and business leaders to ensure enterprise alignment.

Qualifications We Seek in You

Minimum Qualifications

  • Proven success as a COO, President, or equivalent senior executive leading large-scale global operations within technology, digital services, or professional services organizations.

  • Demonstrated experience operating AI-enabled or platform-led business models at enterprise scale.

  • Strong track record of driving operational excellence, margin expansion, and predictable delivery performance.

  • Exceptional executive presence with the ability to influence across the C-suite, Board, clients, and global teams.

Preferred Qualifications / Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or related discipline.

  • Advanced degree (MBA, Master's, or equivalent) strongly preferred.

  • Deep understanding of AI, digital transformation, and modern service delivery models.

  • Experience leading large multi-geo workforces and complex transformation programs.

  • Strong analytical, financial, and decision-making capabilities in dynamic environments.

  • Proven ability to attract, develop, and retain senior operational and delivery leaders.
