Job Title: Chief of Staff
The Opportunity: We are looking to hire an experienced Chief of Staff (CoS) who would be able to help the top leadership work cohesively on strategizing/ solving group level issues; and then program manage it to ensure execution. CoS would be reporting to one of the promoters (who is the CEO of a group company and member of the group leadership team). This role is pivotal in ensuring alignment across the organization, streamlining communication, and driving key initiatives to completion.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Support:
- Help the promoter spend her time efficiently and prioritise areas to focus on. Provide insights and analysis on an ongoing basis to support faster/ better decision making.
- Work closely with top leadership to develop business strategies, objectives and goals.
Execution/ Program Management:
- Act on behalf of the promoter to ensure implementation. Ensure that the communication from the Board room to the executive level is passed seamlessly; and that there are no bottlenecks due to limited time availability of the promoter.
- Coordinate meetings involving top leadership. Prepare meeting notes and follow up with execution.
- Support leadership in review sessions using MIS and dashboards.
Problem solving:
- Bring to the notice of top leadership key organization level issues and support them in solving these.
- Act as an internal consultant as far as possible to solve organizational issues. Work with external consultants/ partners where required.
Relationship Management:
- Act as the point of contact on behalf of the promoter for all key internal and external stakeholders.
- Represent the Group at external events along with/ on behalf of the promoter.
Qualifications and Experience:
- MBA from a Tier-I institute with 3-5 years of experience
- Should have experience in one of the following:
- Held P&L responsibility in a corporate setup for 2-3 years
- Worked in a renowned front-end management consulting firm with exposure to projects related to both strategy and project management
- Worked in a similar role (CoS/ CEO office)
- Should have exceptional problem solving and critical thinking ability; coupled with strong program management skills
- Must be excellent in oral and written communication and have the ability to quickly summarize and disseminate discussion points
- Prior experience in an e-commerce setup would be preferred
Location: Bangalore, with travel as required.
Compensation: Competitive and commensurate with experience. For the right candidate, compensation is not a constraint.
