Job Description

We are looking for a Chief Marketing Officer who is a storyteller at heart, but equally fluent in modern brand-building, growth marketing, and digital ecosystems. As CMO, you will own the strategic evolution of the brand and its IP, ensuring relevance, salience, and active consumption across platforms. You will be responsible for transforming a heritage brand into a high-engagement, high-frequency cultural platform, building sustained relationships with India's digital-native households.

This role sits at the intersection of brand, content, technology, and commerce.

Key Responsibilities

1. Building the Storytelling Multiverse

  • Develop and execute a long-term brand and character strategy that drives relevance, fandom, and monetization
  • Identify high-potential legacy and new characters, and design character-led brand worlds
  • Create diversified revenue and engagement models across licensing, merchandising, digital content, and experiential formats
  • Shift the brand from one-time transactions to continuous engagement, building always-on content loops and communities

2. Content, Platforms & Digital Growth

  • Design a multi-platform presence where stories and characters live seamlessly across apps, digital media, OTT, gaming, and interactive formats
  • Reimagine storytelling formats for a digital-first, mobile-native audience
  • Work closely with product and content teams to build high-performing digital platforms, driven by data, personalization, and community insights

3. Tech-Forward Brand Leadership

  • Champion the use of AI and modern marketing tech stacks to accelerate content creation, localization, and distributionwhile preserving creative integrity
  • Leverage performance marketing, CRM, and analytics to scale reach, engagement, and lifetime value
  • Build systems that connect storytelling with measurable business outcomes

4. Brand Expansion & Partnerships

  • Lead the transformation of the brand into a lifestyle and cultural platform
  • Identify new growth levers through format innovation, regionalization, and audience expansion
  • Forge high-impact partnerships with players across media, consumer goods, education, and lifestyle to embed the brand into everyday consumer life

5. Commercial & Organizational Impact

  • Own marketing P&L, balancing brand investments with performance-led growth
  • Collaborate closely with leadership, content, and commercial teams to align storytelling with revenue and scale
  • Build and mentor a high-caliber marketing, brand, and growth team fit for a modern media business

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • A natural storyteller with strong brand intuition, capable of building emotional resonance at scale
  • 1215+ years of experience across media, digital content, OTT, gaming, consumer brands, or entertainment ecosystems
  • Proven experience in scaling brands in the digital era using performance marketing, community-building, and tech-led growth
  • Deep understanding of Indian cultural narratives and mythology, combined with a modern, global aesthetic
