The India Marketing organization partners closely with India leadership and global stakeholders to define market strategy, accelerate growth, and strengthen Lenovo's brand position in a highly competitive and fast‑evolving market.
Role Summary
Marketing Director (India) is a part of India Leader team. It is a senior, business‑critical leadership role responsible for defining and driving
India marketing agenda with clear ownership, conviction, and impact. This role requires a
strong, independent marketing leader who can stand shoulder‑to‑shoulder with India and global leadership, influence key business decisions, and represent India marketing with confidence and credibility. This role is expected to
set direction, lead with a strong point of view, and translate marketing strategy into measurable business outcomes in a complex and high‑growth environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and drive the end‑to‑end India marketing strategy, aligned with business priorities and growth objectives.
- Act as a core member of the India leadership team, influencing strategic decisions with strong market and consumer insights.
- Translate marketing strategy into clear commercial impact, including revenue growth, market share, brand strength, and demand outcomes.
- Lead, inspire, and develop a high‑performing marketing leadership team, fostering ownership, accountability, and execution excellence.
- Set and drive the marketing agenda proactively, demonstrating an entrepreneurial, self‑starter mindset without reliance on detailed direction.
- Navigate complexity and ambiguity with confidence, balancing speed, rigor, and adaptability in decision‑making.
- Represent India marketing with high executive presence in engagements with senior India and global stakeholders.
- Ensure strong integration across functions (sales, product, finance, supply chain) to deliver cohesive business outcomes.
Skills Experience
Must‑Have
- Senior‑level marketing leadership experience of 15+ years in a large, complex organization, preferably within technology, consumer, or B2B/B2C hybrid environments.
- Deep marketing fundamentals with strong functional credibility beyond surface‑level leadership.
- Proven ability to link marketing strategy to tangible business results.
- Entrepreneurial, execution‑led mindset with high ownership and initiative.
- Strong executive presence with the ability to influence, challenge, and collaborate with senior leaders.
- Comfort operating in ambiguous, fast‑changing environments.
Good‑to‑Have
- Experience leading marketing transformation or step‑change growth agendas.
- Exposure to both local market execution and global stakeholder management.
- Experience in technology marketing and working in matrix organizations
