Or client looking for a high-impact Chief Marketing Officer to lead the marketing charter across a portfolio of fast-scaling D2C brands. This role requires a blend of brand thinking, performance rigor, and business acumen to drive profitable growth, build distinctive consumer brands, and create a scalable marketing engine across categories.

Key Responsibilities

1. Portfolio-Level Marketing Strategy

  • Define and drive the overarching marketing vision across multiple D2C brands
  • Build a playbook for scaling brands from 0→1 and 1→10
  • Allocate budgets effectively across brands based on lifecycle and ROI

2. Performance Marketing & Growth

  • Own revenue growth across channels (Meta, Google, marketplaces, affiliates)
  • Drive CAC, LTV, ROAS optimization with a strong data-first approach
  • Build and scale growth loops across paid, organic, and retention

3. Brand Building & Positioning

  • Develop differentiated brand positioning and storytelling for each brand
  • Lead campaigns across digital, social, influencer, and offline channels
  • Ensure consistency in brand voice, identity, and consumer experience

4. Consumer & Category Insights

  • Deeply understand consumer behavior across categories
  • Translate insights into product positioning, communication, and GTM strategies
  • Partner with product and category teams to drive innovation

5. Omnichannel Marketing

  • Lead marketing across owned (website/app), marketplaces, and offline retail
  • Build integrated campaigns across online and offline touchpoints

6. Team Leadership & Org Building

  • Build and mentor a high-performing team across brand, performance, content, and analytics
  • Create a strong culture of experimentation, speed, and accountability

7. Data, Analytics & Martech

  • Establish a robust analytics framework to track funnel metrics and attribution
  • Leverage CRM, marketing automation, and personalization tools to improve retention

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • 15+ years of experience in marketing, with strong exposure to D2C / consumer brands
  • Proven track record of scaling brands profitably (not just top-line growth)
  • Strong hands-on experience in performance marketing + brand building
  • Experience managing multiple brands or categories is highly preferred
  • Prior experience in high-growth startups, D2C brands, or new-age consumer companies
  • Strong understanding of digital ecosystems, content, and influencer marketing
  • Ability to operate both strategically and hands-on
