Work timings: 7:30 PM - 4:30 AM IST (Fixed Saturday & Sunday Week offs)

About The Role

We are seeking an experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) with deep expertise in the US Staffing & Recruitment industry. The CFO will be a strategic business partner responsible for driving financial performance, ensuring compliance with US labor and tax regulations, and guiding long-term business growth. The role requires strong knowledge of payroll funding, vendor management, client billing cycles, and compliance with US employment laws.

Responsibilities

Financial Strategy & Leadership

  • Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with business objectives in the staffing domain.
  • Partner with the CEO and leadership team to support decision-making, profitability, and growth.
  • Provide insights into revenue forecasting, client profitability, and operational efficiency.

Accounting & Compliance

  • Oversee accounting operations, payroll, and billing specific to US staffing contracts (W2, C2C, 1099).
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP, US labor laws, IRS regulations, and state tax requirements.
  • Manage audits, statutory filings, and regulatory reporting.

Budgeting & Forecasting

  • Prepare annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, and financial models.
  • Monitor cash flow, working capital, and funding requirements, especially for payroll cycles in staffing.
  • Develop financial KPIs and dashboards for management reporting.

Risk Management

  • Assess and mitigate financial risks, including client credit exposure and vendor agreements.
  • Ensure proper insurance, legal, and compliance coverage for US staffing operations.

Operational Excellence

  • Streamline billing processes, payroll funding, time sheet approvals, and vendor payments.
  • Implement cost-control initiatives without compromising service delivery.
  • Oversee ERP/financial systems integration with staffing platforms (e.g., Bullhorn, Workday, NetSuite, QuickBooks, etc.).

Team Leadership

  • Build, mentor, and lead the finance team across geographies (onsite/offshore).
  • Foster collaboration with HR, Operations, and Sales teams for smooth payroll and compliance management.

Key Skills & Qualifications

  • Education: CPA, CFA, MBA (Finance) or equivalent preferred.
  • Experience: 12 - 18 years in Finance, with at least 5+ years as a senior finance leader in the US Staffing / Recruitment industry.
  • Strong understanding of US payroll, taxes, funding models, and compliance requirements.
  • Proven expertise in financial planning, cash flow management, and investor reporting.
  • Experience managing vendor relationships, banking, and funding partners.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Knowledge

  • Familiarity with staffing models: W2, C2C, 1099, and SOW contracts.
  • Experience working with MSP/VMS platforms (Fieldglass, Beeline, etc.).
  • Knowledge of immigration-related cost structures (H1B, OPT, Green Card).
