ROLE PURPOSE
The CEO will be responsible for building the organizations relationship with governments and donors, across the projects, and lead the efforts to explore new opportunities for the organization. She/he will also be responsible for all operational responsibilities (including but not restricted to HR, Admin, and Finance) and ensure in maintaining all government and regulatory compliances.
DIMENSIONS OF THE ROLE
- Project related tasks:
- Achievement of program criteria/ parameters/ objectives/standards, intervening andresponding to shortfalls; timely implementation and monitoring of approved projects
- Setting up, modifying systems for all programs, operations and quality initiatives
- Exploring new opportunities for collaborating with governments and/or funders which are working with objectives that are similar to the objectives related to furthering the health, well-being, and nutrition status of population
- Lead the efforts towards proposal writing for new opportunities
- Creating and implementing long term, sustainable strategies and systems on all fronts including programmatic and administrative areas
- Participate in preparing and submitting Annual Report/Progress Report, as required under the terms of grant agreements
- Develop programming and grant management strategies and systems that are effective and aligned with the organization's vision/mission.
- Operations management:
- Manage and increase the effectiveness and efficiency of Support Services (HR, Admin and Finance), across programs through improvements to each function as well as coordination and communication between support and business functions
- Oversee overall operational management, planning, and controls including budget utilization of individual grants
- Ensuring systems and procedures and standards are followed and adhered to
- Oversee monthly and quarterly assessments and forecasts of organization's financial performance against budget, financial and operational goals
- Practicing financial prudence and ensuring best and transparent accounting practices aremaintained
- Reporting to Trust on financial, legal, regulatory and operational matters, highlighting risks
- Manage resources in a legally compliant, efficient and effective manner
- Maintain excellent engagement with Trustees and Managing Trustee on all Trust matters
- Administering payroll and employee benefits and organizational insurance
- Manage recruiting staff, inducting and mentoring staff; ensuring their skill development and mental health is give equal priority
- Contract management
- Support better management reporting, information flow and management
- Will be the ex-officio member of the BoD;
- Relationship management:
- Building and nurturing the image and credibility amongst public, government entities, partners, and donors
- Building partnerships and tie ups with government entities, institutions, partners and identifying and building synergies and collaborations
QUALIFICATIONS
- At least an MBA/MPP/MPA/MPH/MSW/MD or a similar degree
- At least 25 years of experience with minimum 10 years of experience at a Leadership
- (Director/CEO/COO) position in an NGO/Trust/Foundation/Donor organization
- At least 8 years of experience in Public Health, working directly or indirectly with government
- Candidates with experience of working with government health systems for 5+ years will bepreferred
- Candidates with experience of working with organizations with FCRA registrations or knowledge of statutory regulations related to FCRA Act will be preferred
- Prior experience of programme and project management with proven understanding of organizational financial management and business planning.
