Role Summary
The CEO will be responsible for:
- Setting up and operationalizing the greenfield CCR plant
- Building leadership and operational teams from scratch
- Establishing systems, SOPs, and organizational structure
- Driving commercial, operational, and strategic execution
- Creating a scalable and process-driven manufacturing culture
The role requires a highly entrepreneurial manufacturing leader with strong execution capabilities and prior experience in building or scaling industrial projects.
Key Responsibilities
1. Greenfield Project Leadership
- Lead the complete execution and operationalization of the copper CCR project.
- Coordinate with project consultants, machinery suppliers, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
- Ensure timely commissioning and stabilization of plant operations.
- Establish operational readiness before commercial production.
2. Team Building & Talent Acquisition
- Build the organization structure from ground zero.
- Hire key leadership personnel across production, maintenance, quality, procurement, finance, HR, commercial, and logistics.
- Develop strong second-line leadership and succession planning.
- Create a high-performance and ownership-driven culture.
3. Manufacturing & Operations
- Oversee complete plant operations including melting, refining, CCR operations, rolling mill operations, quality control, dispatch, and planning.
- Ensure production efficiency, yield optimization, and quality consistency.
- Establish SOP-based manufacturing systems with minimal operator dependency.
4. Automation & Process Systems
- Develop a technology-driven manufacturing environment.
- Reduce labour dependency through automation, process controls, digital monitoring systems, and SOP implementation.
- Implement ERP/MIS systems for operational visibility and control.
- Build process-driven operations instead of person-dependent systems.
5. Commercial & Financial Management
- Drive profitability, operational efficiency, and cost optimization.
- Manage P&L, budgeting, working capital, and cash flow.
- Develop procurement strategies for raw materials and consumables.
- Optimize production costs, power consumption, and operational efficiencies.
6. Strategy & Business Development
- Support market development and strategic customer relationships.
- Build credibility with cable manufacturers, industrial buyers, and infrastructure clients.
- Develop scalable growth strategies aligned with future industry demand.
7. Compliance & Governance
- Ensure adherence to pollution control norms, environmental compliance, safety standards, and statutory regulations.
- Coordinate with regulatory bodies and external agencies as required.
8. Raw Material Sourcing & Strategic Supply Development
- Develop and secure long-term sourcing relationships for imported copper scrap, copper cathodes, and copper anodes from international suppliers.
- Build reliable global supply chains ensuring continuity, quality consistency, and competitive commercial terms.
- Negotiate long-term contracts and strategic procurement arrangements with overseas suppliers and trading houses.
- Develop sourcing networks across key international markets.
- Manage procurement risks related to copper price volatility, forex fluctuations, shipment delays, quality variations, and logistics disruptions.
- Coordinate with logistics, CHA, shipping lines, and finance teams for smooth import operations.
- Maintain strong understanding of global copper market dynamics, LME trends, scrap spreads, and supply-demand movements.

Candidates with prior greenfield project exposure will be strongly preferred.
Required Experience
- 15–25 years of relevant manufacturing experience.
- Minimum 5–10 years in senior leadership/P&L role.
- Proven experience in greenfield plant setup, plant commissioning, manufacturing scale-up, and team building from scratch.
- Strong operational and commercial exposure.
- Strong exposure to imported raw material procurement for copper/non-ferrous industry.
- Existing international supplier network in copper scrap/anodes/cathodes preferred.
- Experience handling import-based supply chains and commodity procurement.
