Job Purpose
The Chef Core R&D will be responsible fordeveloping, standardizing, and improving food productsthrough innovation, trials, and experimentation while ensuringquality, taste, safety, and scalabilityfor commercial production.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop new food products, recipes, and formulations aligned with market trends
- Conduct kitchen and pilot-level trials for product innovation
- Standardize recipes for consistency, yield, and scalability
- Improve existing products for taste, texture, shelf life, and cost efficiency
- Collaborate with Food Technologists for ingredient selection and process optimization
- Maintain detailed R&D documentation (recipes, trials, SOPs, formulations)
- Ensure compliance with food safety standards (FSSAI, hygiene, GMP)
- Support commercialization and handover to production teams
- Source and evaluate new ingredients, flavors, and processing techniques
- Conduct sensory evaluation and internal product tastings

Preferred Experience
- Experience in R&D kitchens, food labs, or innovation centers
- Exposure to ready-to-eat (RTE), bakery, snacks, dairy, or health foods
- Experience working with scaling recipes from kitchen to factory level
