Role Description

This is an on-site contract role for a Chef De Partie specialized in Cold Kitchen, located in Chennai. Responsibilities include preparing and presenting high-quality dishes, managing and training kitchen staff in your section, maintaining kitchen cleanliness and safety standards, and ensuring consistent food quality. The Chef De Partie will also assist in menu planning, maintain inventory, and monitor portion control to ensure efficient use of ingredients.

Qualifications

  • Culinary skills, including expertise in food preparation, presentation, and cooking techniques.
  • Experience in managing and training kitchen staff and ensuring their adherence to standards.
  • Knowledge of food safety protocols, hygiene practices, and kitchen maintenance.
  • Menu planning, inventory management, and understanding of cost control techniques.
  • Strong organizational skills, time management, and attention to detail in a high-pressure environment.
  • A relevant culinary degree or certification is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Previous experience in a similar role, ideally within luxury or fine dining establishments, is highly desirable.
