Role Description
We are seeking a skilled Chartered Accountant for a full-time, on-site role located in Purnea. In this role, you will manage financial records, oversee tax planning and compliance, prepare financial statements, and conduct audits to ensure accuracy and adherence to regulations. You will also collaborate with stakeholders to provide financial insights and advice for decision-making, budget management, and financial strategy development. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in maintaining the company's financial health and statutory compliance.
Role and responsibilities
A finance controller, especially a CA-qualified professional heading finances across a fertilizer manufacturing concern, wholesale firm, and retail firm, focuses on overseeing financial operations, ensuring compliance, and driving efficiency tailored to manufacturing costs, inventory, and multi-entity reporting. Key responsibilities emphasize cost management in production, working capital for wholesale distribution, and sales tracking in retail, all while adhering to Indian regulations like IND AS and GST.
Core KRAs
- Oversee financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis across all entities, including monthly/quarterly closures and variance analysis.
- Ensure internal controls, statutory compliance (tax, audits, TDS), and risk management, coordinating with auditors and regulators.
- Manage cash flow, working capital optimization, and treasury operations, minimizing disruptions in fertilizer supply chains.
Manufacturing-Specific Duties
- Handle cost accounting, inventory management, fixed asset verification, and CapEx analysis for production efficiency.
- Monitor raw material costs, operational variances, and supply chain finances unique to fertilizer production.
Wholesale and Retail Adaptations
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable, dealer financing, and distributor negotiations for wholesale operations.
- Track retail sales performance, profitability, and multi-channel reporting while consolidating group finances.
Leadership Responsibilities
- Lead finance teams, mentor staff, and provide strategic insights to management on group-wide decisions.
- Implement ERP systems (e.g., SAP) and process improvements for integrated reporting across manufacturing, wholesale, and retail.
